baby baptism3Baptism is the initial sacrament to be received in the Church, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. It is the external sign of spiritual birth and entrance into the total Christian community.

Parents who request Baptism for their child assume the responsibility of bringing them up in the practice of the faith.  It is by their example and participation in a community of faith that the child learns to develop a relationship with God and to understand the presence of Christ in the ordinary events of our life.

Baptisms are normally held on the last Saturday of the month at 1:00 PM.  To arrange for the Baptism of an infant or child, please call the parish office at 413-584-7310.  Prior registration and preparation is required.

Adults who wish to become Catholic might  become a part of RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Contact the parish office @ 413-584-7310 for more information.
